Single Adult £30  Family £50   Junior (in full-time education) £15

Access is by combination lock - you will be issued with the number when you join the club.

Court fee for non-members and member's guests is £2.00 per person per hour.  To obtain a key and pay the court fee, call in to Modbury Post Office in Church Street.

The History & The Future of Modbury Tennis club

Modbury's tennis courts were opened on parish land in 1992 with the aid of a loan from Modbury Association of Recreation & Sports (MARS). The main aim of Modbury Community Tennis Club is stated in its constitution as:

To encourage people of all age groups in the community to play tennis.

Use of the courts is made available for both members and non-members.  Membership fees are made affordable in order to encourage wide participation, in particular with lower fees for juniors (those in full time education). The bulk of members are in the category of Family Membership, and members are drawn from the town of Modbury and from the surrounding villages. 

In 2007 the courts were resurfaced with the generous help of members, The Foundation for Sport & the Arts, MARS and Modbury Parish Council.  Upgrading of the facilities continued in 2008 with the building of a viewing shelter for players, spectators and parents within the court area.
